A. DMS is also an accredited metallurgical testing laboratory according to ISO 17025-2017. DMS does not involve any outsourcing and subcontracting activities. The technical information and queries are promptly replied to and shared with all participants.

B. DMS is a nonaccredited reference material producer. PT samples are processed, produced, and characterized at DMS as per the relevant test methods and standards. This provides confidence to the customers that PT schemes, and procedures are robust and PT results can be used to verify their measurement and calibration of the equipment. The unexpended PT samples can also be used for internal quality control, and staff training.

C. All PT schemes are designed to fulfill the regulatory requirement for maintaining the ISO17025-2017 for a laboratory and organization engaging in metallurgical testing services. Besides, PT schemes can be used as a continuous improvement tool for verifying methods and calibration.

D. Since its inception in 2019, there have been many PT schemes that were first time introduced in India. DMS is now introducing new parameters for hardness, metallography, corrosion, tensile tests etc. DMS is offering special prices for these programs also. E. ONGOING PT PROGRAM: - Brinell, Rockwell C Scale, Rockwell B Scale and Regular and Micro Vickers
DMS is now introducing the PT schemes for hardness tests based on the Repeatability “R” measurement and the average hardness of the Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers hardness tests. The repeatability “R” and average hardness are derived from diameter or diagonal measurement for Brinell and Vickers hardness respectively and non-uniformity of hardness for Rockwell C and Rockwell B scale. The PT samples can be used as reference material by determining the repeatability and error to derive their measurement uncertainties as per ASTM and ISO methods.

F. ONGOING PT PROGRAM, Simultaneous scheme/, Tensile Test; steel, nonferrous, and transverse tensile weld: Two PT samples are sent to participating laboratories conforming to either ASTM or ISO standards with no additional cost. The transverse weld samples conform to ASME Section IX. The participants have the option to submit two test results employing two different test methods and Z scores are provided for two different methods.

H. ONGOING PT PROGRAM: Simultaneous scheme Metallography; Two PT samples with different assigned values are sent to participating laboratories with no additional cost., The participants need to produce two separate results and Z scores are provided for two programs.

I. ONGOING PT PROGRAM: simultaneous scheme/, Intergranular corrosion (IGC)/, Pitting corrosion: Two PT samples of pipe or bar with different assigned values are sent to participating laboratories with no additional cost. The participants need to produce two separate results and Z scores are provided for two programs.

J. ONGOING PT PROGRAM: Chemical/ Salt Spray and mass of zinc coating: One PT for chemical analysis and two hot dipped galvanized washers and sheet metal with different assigned values are sent to participating laboratories per program as per quoted price.

K. ONGOING PT PROGRAM: May/June 2024- Brinell, Rockwell C Scale, Rockwell B Scale.

DMS is now introducing the PT schemes for hardness tests based on the Repeatability “R” and the average hardness of the regular Vickers and Micro Vickers hardness. The repeatability “R” and average hardness are derived from diagonal measurements. The PT samples can be used as reference material by determining the repeatability and error to measure uncertainties as per ASTM and ISO methods.

M. ONGOING PT PROGRAM: May/June-2024; Metallography

Metallography / Microstructure / Ferrous / Nonferrous: Two PT samples with different assigned values are sent to participating laboratories with no additional cost., The participants need to produce two separate results and Z scores are provided for two programs.
