Proficiency Testing Provider

Presently, Deep Metallurgical Services (DMS) is conducting ongoing Proficiency Testing (PT) programs. These programs are designed as either simultaneous quantitative or simultaneous qualitative assessments. All PT schemes, including those for metallography and microstructure parameters, are based entirely on physical PT samples - no images are provided for any program.

Participating laboratories are required to conduct the tests in accordance with any recognized standard method such as ASTM, ISO, IS, or any validated in-house method, using their own equipment and manpower. The PT programs are carefully structured to evaluate the participants’ performance in routine testing parameters, with reporting aligned to all clauses of ISO 17043:2023 and related Clauses of ISO 13528-2022. This enables participants to confidentially compare their own results with those of other laboratories, ensuring compliance with ISO confidentiality requirements

DMS produces all PT samples with full traceability to SI units. Homogeneity and stability assessments, statistical data analysis, performance evaluations, and final reporting are carried out in-house by DMS. The PT program is managed by a PTP Testing Program Committee chaired by the Managing Director - a metallurgist with extensive research and development experience - supported by a Program Manager, Quality Manager, Statistician, and Technical Advisors

DMS has launched these 57 unique PT programs covering corrosion, metallography, mechanical, and chemical testing parameters. The PT samples provided by DMS are prepared with the same precision as reference materials, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
